Owner: Amber Evans
Booking Inquiries: 801-201-5885
CONTRACTS & RELEASES: All contracts should be emailed to [email protected] prior to set. Talent will sign release forms on-set with the permission of Stars Talent Studio. Photos, videos, and booking content are only released to the client for the length of time and usage negotiated prior to the shoot. If the client or use changes, or if images are used beyond the negotiated length of time, the model release must be renegotiated and approved through Stars Talent Studio. Any release signed without agency permission or consent will be considered void. Model releases are not valid until the agency has been paid in full.
USAGE RIGHTS & LICENSING DATES: Add to your company contract or release the following for your legal protection: media terms, licensing dates, usage, territory, and term (length of use).
NDA PRIOR: Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality: If Talent are required to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and agree to maintain confidentiality about the company’s products, campaigns, and other proprietary information, notify the agency (Stars Talent Studio).
FULL DISCLOSURE: Full disclosure of any extraordinary conditions or requirements for a specific job.
BILLING INFORMATION: Provide agency with complete billing information prior to a booking
SET DISCREPANCIES: Any on-set discrepancies should be reported to the Stars Talent Studio immediately and will only be discussed prior to assignment completion.
WEATHER CONDITIONS: For weather-dependent jobs, weather conditions and permits must be specified at booking. No charge for weather-related shoot postponement if notified before departure and re-booked promptly; otherwise, regular cancellation fees apply.
The following services, requirements, or circumstances may require additional fees and must be discussed and approved in writing prior to the booking. These may include, but are not limited to:
Standard Rate: $100 per hour, one-hour minimum.
Billing: Any fitting time exceeding one hour is billed in additional $100 hourly increments.
Common Add-Ons (when applicable):
Additional fittings requested by client or stylist
Multiple looks requiring separate try-ons and approvals
Travel time to/from fitting location when outside local radius
Rush fittings scheduled within 24–48 hours
Common practice note: Fittings are often required for print, commercial, and brand campaigns and are billed separately from the shoot day unless explicitly included in the session fee.
Travel days are days where talent is required to travel at the client’s request and is unavailable for other bookings due to travel obligations.
Standard Rate: Travel days are billed at 50% of the original booking rate, with a minimum of $500 per travel day (unless otherwise negotiated in writing).
Common Travel Costs Client Covers:
Airfare and baggage fees (including additional baggage for wardrobe/gear if required)
Lodging (hotel + taxes/fees)
Ground transportation (rental car, ride share, driver, parking)
Per diem for meals
Travel change fees or penalties when client reschedules or cancels
Client cancellation protection: If talent is approved to book airfare or travel directly and the booking is canceled or materially changed, the client is responsible for reimbursing any non-refundable travel costs and change fees.
3. Extended Usage or Licensing (Beyond Initial Agreed Terms)
Usage/licensing extends the right to use the talent’s likeness, image, voice, or performance. Extended usage requires new written approval and additional licensing fees.
Common triggers for extended usage fees include:
Extending the usage term (beyond the original duration)
Adding new platforms (example: web-only expanding to broadcast or OTT/CTV)
Expanding geographic territory (example: regional to national; national to international)
Adding paid media (boosting/whitelisting) when not originally included
Adding additional edits or versions distributed beyond original use
Common renewal pricing practice: Renewals typically include an escalation (often 10–25% increase per renewal term), depending on scope and platform.
Overtime applies when a client exceeds the confirmed booking window, including extended set time, extended location time, delays, or additional required work.
Standard Rate: Time and a Half (1.5x the hourly rate) unless otherwise negotiated.
Common Overtime Triggers:
Production delays
Additional scenes/looks added on set
Waiting time beyond agreed schedule
Extended reset, lighting, or location moves
Best practice: The booking confirmation should state the expected time block (example: 8-hour day or 10-hour day). Any time beyond that is overtime unless a revised rate is agreed in writing.
When call times occur outside standard windows (commonly 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.), additional fees may apply.
Common charges include:
Early call premium (especially pre-7:00 a.m.)
Late wrap premium (especially after 10:00 p.m.)
“Turnaround” concerns (insufficient rest time between days)
Safety-related travel arrangements (late-night transport)
If a booking requires an NDA or exclusivity provisions beyond typical standards, additional compensation may apply.
Common cost drivers:
Category exclusivity (example: telecom, auto, beauty, fitness)
Long exclusivity windows (example: 6–24 months)
Broad territory exclusivity (national or worldwide)
Restrictions that block talent from other income opportunities
Common practice: Exclusivity should always be paid for, clearly defined, time-limited, and stated in writing.
If hair and makeup is required before the paid session begins, the prep time must be compensated.
Common structures:
Prep time billed hourly (often consistent with fitting rates or day-rate breakdowns)
Fixed prep fee when call time is significantly earlier due to styling requirements
Additional fees if the client requires the talent to arrive “camera-ready” with professional styling not provided by production
Weather holds or reshoots can create real availability blocks and travel costs.
Common fees include:
Hold fee (when talent must remain available and cannot accept other work)
Weather kill fee (if production cancels on short notice)
Reshoot fee (new session fee + additional usage if applicable)
Additional travel reimbursement (if travel is repeated)
Standard requirement: Weather holds and reschedules must include written kill fee terms and written travel responsibility terms.
Callbacks may require additional fees depending on format and scope.
Common billing examples:
In-person callback time (including travel time)
Studio rental or self-tape facility fees if used
Coaching requests for higher-level callbacks
(If you want, we can define a standard callback fee schedule for your agency.)
When talent must provide specialized skills or bring items required for the role, additional fees may apply.
Examples:
Sports performance, stunts, choreography, advanced fitness work
Musical performance or technical skills
Providing wardrobe beyond standard personal closet options
Bringing personal equipment (example: instruments, specialty gear)
Common cost drivers:
Risk level and training
Equipment value and wear
Extra prep or rehearsal time
If a client requires use of the talent’s real name for:
Packaging
Public credits
Press
Social tags
Brand website bios
This may require a separate approval and may result in an additional fee due to privacy, safety, and reputational considerations.
If talent is required to create content for their own channels or deliver UGC, additional rates apply.
Common fee categories:
Content creation fee (time to film, edit, export, and deliver)
Posting fee (publishing to the talent’s own channel)
Revision rounds (beyond an agreed number of edits)
Raw footage handoff fee (if requested)
Whitelisting/boosting fee (if the client uses the talent’s handle to run paid ads)
Paid usage fee (if content is used in paid advertising beyond organic posting)
Extended usage renewals (if usage continues beyond the agreed term)
Important: Any usage beyond original terms must be renegotiated and approved in writing.
Clients utilizing Stars Talent Studio’s in-house casting division, Screenwise Casting, may incur additional fees for services such as:
Casting coordination and role breakdown development
Script distribution and submission management
Audition collection and organization
Audition review and shortlist recommendations
Callback coordination and booking support
Deal memo administration support
Common pricing models (industry standard):
Flat casting coordination fee (project-based)
Hourly casting support rate
Percentage-based casting fee for larger-scale projects (common in commercial/film casting)
(If you want, I can draft a clean rate card for Screenwise Casting with three tiers: Basic, Standard, Premium.)
All additional considerations should be addressed with your booking agent prior to the start of the job to ensure transparency, accurate quoting, and documented talent consent. No additional fees will be incurred without written confirmation.
Talent is booked for blocks of time either half day or full day booking. Fifteen minutes or forty-five minutes past the hour is considered to be an additional half hour.
Models book in 8 consecutive hours while actors are on set for 12 hours, including all meals. Talent confirmed for a full day will be paid their full rate even if released before their full session. If Talent goes into overtime then rate increases to time and a half. Please email/phone the agency as a courtesy if you go into overtime. Stars Talent Studio books Talent Sunday – Saturday and is open 24 hours a day x 7 days a week.
Air Travel: Additional rates for travel days are common practice, with travel days typically requiring a half-day rate plus airfare if needed. Clients are usually responsible for covering transportation, lodging, per diem, and other expenses unless otherwise negotiated.
Travel Rates: Travel rates often include reimbursement for gas expenses based on mileage, with a standard rate per mile (e.g., $0.65 per mile). For travel distances exceeding a certain threshold (e.g., 50+ miles outside the center of Salt Lake City), additional compensation may be required to cover talent’s time and expenses for the day before and after the shoot.
Per Diem: Per diem rates for out-of-town shoots are common, typically billed at a fixed daily rate (e.g., $75-$125 per day) to cover meals and incidental expenses incurred by talent while traveling.
Stars Airbnb: Stars Talent Studio has an Airbnb that can accommodate a number of out of state talent when they come in for a booking. Ask the agency for more details. We encourage our clients to book talent that are represented on our roster nationwide.
Disclaimer : Talent are encouraged to purchase airfare insurance in the event of weather delays, production changes, or scheduling cancellations. If a client books talent for an out-of-state project and the talent independently purchases airfare for the confirmed booking, the client is responsible for reimbursing the talent for all non-refundable or unused travel expenses if the booking is canceled or rescheduled by the client.
Local Booking Zone
Defined as travel within 30 miles (one way) from the talent’s home address or approved base location.
Mileage reimbursement applies when travel exceeds normal commuting expectations or when required by the booking.
Non-Local Booking Zone
Any travel over 30 miles (one way) is considered non-local.
Non-local bookings may require additional compensation and/or travel accommodations.
Standard Mileage Rate: $0.67 per mile (IRS standard rate / industry benchmark)
Mileage is calculated round-trip from the talent’s home address (or approved pickup location) to the booking location.
Mileage reimbursement applies when:
Travel exceeds the local booking zone
Talent is required to transport wardrobe, props, equipment, or luggage
Multiple locations are required during the same booking day
Talent is asked to travel to a location outside their usual booking area
When a booking requires travel on a day separate from the performance or shoot day, the following applies:
Travel Day Rate: 50% of the agreed session/day rate
Travel days are billed when:
Talent must travel the day before or after the booking
The travel day prevents the talent from accepting other work
Long-distance ground travel or flights are required
If travel exceeds 6 hours in one day, the travel day may be billed at:
Full day rate, subject to prior approval and outlined in the deal memo
For extended or out-of-state bookings, the client is responsible for:
Airfare (or pre-approved mileage/gas reimbursement)
Lodging (single occupancy)
Ground transportation
Meal per diems (if applicable)
All travel arrangements must be approved in advance and included in the booking confirmation.
All parking fees, tolls, and required permits incurred during the booking are reimbursable with receipts.
Ride-share or rental vehicle expenses must be pre-approved unless required on location.
Mileage, travel day rates, and travel accommodations must be approved in advance and documented in the deal memo or booking confirmation.
Stars Talent Studio coordinates travel details and ensures reimbursement is processed according to agency policy.

Client Insurance Responsibility – Talent Booking Clarification
Thank you for your interest in booking talent through our agency. As a licensed talent agency, we represent the talent, handle submissions, and coordinate the booking process. However, we do not provide or require proof of insurance from our end because:
We are not the employer of record on the production or set.
The client or production company hiring the talent is responsible for maintaining any necessary general liability insurance, workers’ compensation, or production-related coverage required for the job.
This is standard industry practice for commercial shoots, film productions, promotional events, and photo shoots.
If your production requires coverage, your insurance policy should list “hired talent” or “temporary workers/independent contractors” under the appropriate provisions for the day(s) of the shoot.
Please let us know if you have any specific documentation or waivers the talent needs to sign related to your coverage.
